Father, You knew when You gave us the Ten Commandments that Your name would be blasphemed by people all over the world and by every age group.  Please forgive us, Your own children, when we don’t stand up for Your name, or when we ourselves so casually slip into this sin.  Give us courage to gently speak to those who have fallen into the habit.  May Your Holy Spirit bring conviction to their hearts.  Every day may we say the name of our Savior and Friend, Jesus Christ, in prayer, in witness, in thanksgiving and with joy.  May the women of LWML be a living model of faithfulness in all we do and say.  We pray in the powerful name of Jesus.  Amen.   (Join your LWML sisters in prayer each Monday at noon.  The above prayer is from a recent issue of LWML e-News; read entire newsletter on the Atonement LWML bulletin board located in the Fellowship Hall or subscribe at www.lwml.org) Advent by Candelight Quilts and other projects Workday Dessert Time
